Key Areas of Responsibility for Program lead-Foundation Program (Mont- KG)
Communicating with teachers and other staff members
Responsible for the development of the curriculum, its implementation and evaluation.
Guide the process of developing a good quality working curriculum appropriately.
To organize weekly lesson plan meetings so that the curriculum is planned, taught and assessed collaboratively
To help teachers get a complete understanding of the curriculum in detail
Ensure that standards are maintained by teachers while implementing the curriculum
Lend support to individual teachers in their classrooms on a weekly basis.
Facilitate team teaching in the classroom and mentoring of students
To mentor and model good teaching practices in the classroom
Ensure that appropriate guidance and support is given to new staff to implement the curriculum
Support teachers in the development of assessment tools in line with the school’s policy on assessment
Plan and develop technology in the classrooms in relation to the identified technology skills necessary for each grade level.
Teach 2 lessons every day and coordinate the progression of literacy and numeracy skills in the curriculum
Prepare documentation relating to all aspects of the curriculum
Help integrate students with special needs.
Promote participation in the arts and an appreciation of the aesthetic aspects of life
Ensure that teachers cater to the unique learning styles of students
To oversee the administration of report writing at the end of Term I and II
To check the assessment registers once a month
Be responsible for the use of suitable resources to support the implementation of the curriculum
Provide support to the teachers in implementing non instructional aspects of the foundation Programme such as assemblies, Form Mornings, Inter- House Athletics Meet, Music and Dance Festivals etc.
Communication with Head of School
To assist with the appraisal of staff through classroom observations and goal setting
Make recommendations regarding professional development opportunities in and off campus
Attend weekly Form meetings with HOS
Accept any other reasonable duties delegated by the HOS.
